Bigger Cell Phone Sample
In 2009, CHIS expanded its cell phone sample to include those who "mainly" use cell phones and those who "only" use mobile telephones. Children and teens interviews were added to the cell-phone sample as well.

CHIS is conducted every two years with many core questions repeated in each survey in order to measure significant shifts over time. New questions are also added each survey year to address emerging concerns that are important for planning and policy development.
